The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for understanding Nielsen clients' business requirements and designing a solution to meet those requirements via Nielsen's Direct Data Manager (DDM) and Direct Data Explorer (DDE/DDEW) toolsets.

Responsibilities include:
-Interface with clients and internal sales and consulting teams in order to identify and capture business requirements
-Interface with Nielsen application development teams to communicate product enhancement requirements as well as program and dictionary specifications
-Drive technical innovation to create leading edge, best practice solutions for our clients
-Mentor junior level architects who have day-to-day execution responsibilities within the Architect team
-Ensure alignment to and participate in continuous improvement of operational standards
-Participate in project planning and project estimates
-Provide technical leadership on projects to ensure solutions are implemented per approved standards


Requirements

Requirements
-Working knowledge of data information modeling and concepts
-Prior experience in system and/or database design
-Ability to facilitate meetings with people of various business and technical aptitudes
-Proven technical leadership
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Great organizational skills
-Working knowledge of Excel, Access and other MS Office products
-Superior problem solving/critical thinking skills
-Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
-Ability to develop technical specifications

Desired
-Experience with MS SQL Server or other Relational Database
-Knowledge of Retail Analysis
